Cammio Video Interview: Candidate Help and Preparation
Use Cammio's current candidate help topics to route invitation, camera, recording, and submission problems, with two evidence-based examples.

Cammio’s current candidate instructions distinguish automated interviews from live calls. Its automated guide says candidates receive an invitation link, read interview-specific instructions, may give consent, test camera and microphone, and see each question’s time and allowed attempts on screen. A separate practice session is not shared with the employer. Employer settings still control deadline, timing, and retakes. Use Cammio’s troubleshooting route for technical evidence, and use the hiring organisation for process choices. The examples below show how to handle a missing timing rule and how to report a recording problem without inventing a cause. They are support models, not Cammio interview questions. Keep your invitation available because it remains the authority for your assigned interview.
TL;DR
- Cammio publishes separate automated, practice, troubleshooting, FAQ, and live-interview guidance.
- Automated questions show their time and allowed attempts on screen.
- Practice and media-test recordings are not shared or submitted.
- Report technical observations without diagnosing the cause.
- Ask the employer about its process decisions.
What candidate help does Cammio publish?
The automated-interview guide says candidates use an email invitation link, read instructions, complete any consent step, and test camera and microphone before the questions. It says questions appear one at a time with the time and allowed attempts shown on screen. The FAQ adds that those settings vary according to the employer’s setup.
Cammio’s practice page offers a separate rehearsal for the format and equipment. The FAQ says practice content is not shared with the employer and a media-test recording is not saved or submitted. Its troubleshooting page advises a restart, current browser, checked browser and device permissions, popup and extension checks, and another device before contacting support.
For a general definition of recorded interviewing, see how one-way interviews work, but keep Cammio’s current interface in control.
Where should a Cammio problem be routed?
| Problem | Evidence, route, employer contact, and assumption to avoid |
|---|---|
| Invitation access | Save the message source, device, browser, time, and exact error. Use the relevant candidate or FAQ route. Contact the employer if the invitation details appear wrong. Do not assume the link has expired. |
| Device or browser trouble | Record operating system, browser version, permissions, and test result. Use Cammio’s camera or microphone troubleshooting article. Ask the employer only if the issue affects its deadline. Do not diagnose hardware from one failed check. |
| Recording trouble | Note whether the interview is automated or live, the question state, visible controls, and what happened. Use the matching Cammio article. Contact the employer about any process consequence. Do not assume a recording was lost. |
| Submission uncertainty | Save the last screen, time, and any receipt. Use FAQ or automated-interview guidance. Ask the employer if status stays unclear. Do not treat closing the browser as confirmation. |
| Employer-owned format | Quote the invitation’s question format, deadline, timing, or attempt text. Ask the hiring organisation to interpret or change it. Do not imply Cammio selected the employer’s policy. |
The most useful support request states what you observed and what outcome you need. It does not mix a technical diagnosis with a request to change a hiring rule.
Preserve the sequence of events. A screenshot can show an error but not always what preceded it, so write down whether permissions were requested, whether a preview ever worked, and whether a real response had started. This protects you from repeating risky steps and helps support distinguish setup from recording. When the employer must decide a consequence, forward the technical reference rather than paraphrasing it as a proven cause.
What should you verify before recording?
First identify whether the invitation describes an automated or live interview. Cammio maintains separate help topics, so using the wrong guide can create false expectations about interviewer presence or controls.
Open the invitation early. Check the deadline, time zone, supported route, question presentation, preparation time, response time, and attempt wording. If a value is absent, do not fill it with a number from another platform.
Test camera and microphone permissions using the designated setup or practice route. The technical setup checklist gives a general evidence list, but Cammio’s linked troubleshooting guidance should govern its interface.
You can rehearse your delivery with three free timed prompts. That tool uses local browser behaviour and does not copy Cammio.
Record one prompt under a real countdown
Thirty seconds to think, then two minutes out loud. One take, no pause, and you do not see the question until the clock starts.

Four questions in a row, then a scored report
That was one, and you marked it yourself. The full mock runs four questions written for your firm and role, back to back, and scores every one of them. One free run. No card needed.
Your scores and the verdict are free. The coaching that rewrites each answer in your own words is a paid add-on, once you have seen how you did.

What do two support examples look like?
Handle an unclear timing rule
Your invitation states that the interview closes at 18:00 CEST on 9 September, but it does not state preparation time, response time, or whether a question can be recorded again. Build a three-row note for those missing fields and leave each value blank. Cammio says the time and allowed attempts appear at the bottom left of the automated-interview interface. If the values still do not appear before a real question begins, contact the hiring organisation using the invitation details: “I can confirm the deadline, but I cannot find the preparation, response, or attempt settings. Please tell me where those current settings are shown.” Do not start a real response simply to discover the timer, and do not insert settings from a friend or old forum post. Record the reply beside the original invitation so the source for each rule remains clear.
Why it works: the candidate separates confirmed and missing settings, checks the relevant current route, and asks the process owner without guessing.
Report a camera recording problem
Subject: Camera preview freezes during automated-interview setup. At 14:05 CEST on 7 September, I opened the invitation on Windows 11 with the latest Chrome. The browser showed camera and microphone permission as allowed. The microphone meter moved, but the camera preview froze after about five seconds. I refreshed once, restarted Chrome, and tested the same camera in the operating system camera app, where it displayed normally. At 14:25 I tried the latest Edge on the same laptop and the Cammio preview froze again. I have not started a real response. My invitation deadline is 18:00 CEST on 9 September. I am including screenshots of the setup error but no interview content. Please advise which camera troubleshooting step to follow. I have not concluded whether the cause is the browser, device, connection, or interview configuration.
Why it works: the report gives device, browser, time, permission, error, and steps tried while preserving uncertainty about the cause.
How do you keep support and preparation separate?
Technical support needs environment facts. Answer preparation needs role evidence. Keep these in different notes so a support message never contains confidential answer content and a practice script never hides an unresolved setup problem.
For an automated response, prepare short evidence cues and make the opening self-contained. For a live interview, prepare for follow-up and conversation. The help centre’s separate categories reinforce that distinction without proving your assigned format.
After recording, wait for the interface’s completion state and retain any confirmation. If it remains uncertain, describe the last visible screen and time rather than saying the employer received the files.
For delivery coaching, use recorded interview tips after the setup works.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Cammio a live or one-way interview platform?
It supports both automated and live interviews. Cammio publishes separate candidate guidance for each, while your invitation identifies the format assigned by the employer.
Does every employer use the same settings?
No. Cammio says time and allowed attempts vary with employer setup and appear at the bottom left of the automated-interview interface.
Will I get practice before the real questions?
Cammio offers a separate practice interview and says nothing recorded there is shared with the employer. Your assigned interview may still have different settings.
Can I re-record an answer?
Only when the employer’s settings allow it. Cammio says the last permitted recording counts and earlier recordings are lost.
Where should I check the deadline and technical rules?
Check the invitation or interview instructions for the employer-set deadline. Use Cammio’s candidate FAQ and camera or microphone guide for current technical steps.
